Gardena is a leading European brand for garden tools and irrigation systems, founded by Werner Kress and Eberhard Kastner in 1961 in Ulm, Germany. Part of the Swedish Husqvarna Group since 2007. Gardena is known for its intuitive modular connector system for watering, which has become the standard in Europe. The product line covers micro-drip systems, pop-up sprinklers, oscillating sprinklers, Smart System controllers, and a wide range of garden tools. The brand is present in over 80 countries with a focus on the European market.
History
1961 -- Company founded by Werner Kress and Eberhard Kastner in Ulm. 1968 -- Creation of the Original GARDENA System -- modular connector system for watering. 1996 -- Launch of the Micro-Drip-System. 2007 -- Joining the Husqvarna Group. 2018 -- Launch of the GARDENA smart system with IoT integration.
