Hydraulic Calculations — Automatic pipe sizing using the Hazen-Williams equation. Flow rate validation, pressure loss calculation, and capacity warnings ensure your design will work in the real world.

Smart Pipe Routing — Minimum spanning tree algorithm automatically routes pipes between sprinklers, optimizing material usage while maintaining proper flow.

AI Sketch Recognition — Upload a hand-drawn sketch or a photo of your yard, and our AI (powered by Claude Vision) will recognize boundaries, obstacles, and planting areas to jumpstart your design.

PDF Export — Generate professional PDF reports with layout diagrams, bill of materials, hydraulic summary, and installation notes.

Technology

SmartPluvia is built with Ruby on Rails 8 on the backend and a modern JavaScript frontend powered by Vite. The interactive design canvas uses pure SVG — no heavy canvas libraries, just fast, scalable vector graphics that work on any device.

The application supports 20 languages, making irrigation design accessible to users worldwide. Our AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude, and real-time collaboration uses Yjs CRDT technology over ActionCable WebSockets.

Open Catalog

Our product catalog includes 165 nozzle models and 33 valve models from four leading irrigation brands: Hunter, Rain Bird, Gardena, and Toro. Each product entry includes detailed specifications — arc angles, throw radii, flow rates, pressure requirements — so your designs are based on real manufacturer data.

The catalog also includes spray heads, valve boxes, filters, fittings, pipes, weather stations, and installation equipment. We continuously update our catalog as manufacturers release new products.
