Hunter Industries is an American company founded in 1981 by Edwin Hunter in San Marcos, California. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing innovative automatic irrigation systems for residential, commercial, and municipal applications. Hunter pioneered the MP Rotator technology -- a multi-stream rotating nozzle that delivers uniform irrigation with minimal water waste. Hunter's product line includes sprinklers, nozzles, valves, controllers, weather sensors, and accessories. The company is an industry leader with over 40 years of experience and presence in more than 125 countries worldwide.
History
1981 -- Company founded by Edwin Hunter in San Marcos, California. 1985 -- Launch of the first PGP (Professional Grade Product) rotary sprinkler. 2004 -- Development of the revolutionary MP Rotator technology. 2016 -- Acquisition of FX Luminaire, expanding into landscape lighting. 2019 -- Launch of the Sustainable Irrigation program and Hydrawise system.
